P.R.A.I.S.E. is an interactive dance party that combines the driving beat of live percussive based music with enhanced visual art projections, and improvised dance. This free, family-friendly event will offer participants an opportunity to enjoy live percussive based music and express themselves through free form dance.

"Party Go'ers", a.k.a. the audience, are encouraged to actively participate. The goal is to move the body, free the mind, and uplift the soul. Viewers/participants are encouraged to clear out some space around them so they can move their feet to the funky beats.

The event features live Afro Beat/Worldbeat music by Universe X & the Apostles of Funk. This band of musicians spends most of their time caravanning throughout the galaxy delivering the healing grooves of music to those who are in need of some Cosmic relief. Their last L.A. appearance was in July 2019, at the inaugural P.R.A.I.S.E. Afro Beat Dance Party held at L.W.D.T. Accompanying the band will be dancers representing the Lula Washington Dance Theatre.
